Holiday Diaper Drive

We are excited to invite you to be part of our 2nd Annual Holiday Diaper Drive.  Now through the end of the year we will be collecting diapers at our office for The People's City Mission.

Diaper need is real. Something that most of us haven’t had to experience.  Here are some alarming statistics: 

• 46% of the nation’s children under age three live in low-income families — a third of these families struggle to buy not only food but basic household supplies such as diapers
• Often low income moms cope with diaper need by delaying changing diapers and reusing old diapers
• Infants use up to 12 diapers a day and diapers can cost an average of $100 a month or more; up to 6% of gross pay for a low income family
• Diapers can’t be purchased with WIC or SNAP benefits
• Laundromats are expensive and often don’t allow washing of cloth diapers
• Staying in a dirty diaper usually means a crying baby and puts the baby at risk for infections and rashes
• Disposable diapers must be proved to enroll child in an early education and care programs

Your generosity can change the life of a infant or toddler and reduce stress for a mom allowing them to care for their child as you would yours.  

Here is a little about the organizations we will be donating Diapers to: 

People City mission (PCM)  helps struggling folks get back on their feet. For over one hundred years, they have assisted more than one million men, women, and children suffering from homelessness and poverty – people struggling with chemical addictions, fleeing domestic abuse, mental illness, divorce, abandonment, unemployment, and other life crises.  

The Mission supplies diapers for families in need through their Help Center.  Currently – they have NO diapers to distribute.  The need is Great!  A simple pack of diapers can change the life of a child in need. Bill serves on the board for PCM - so he sees first hand how drives like these impact so many lives.
